Hilton Head Island, SC – The Coastal Discovery Museum is thrilled to unveil an array of exciting and educational offerings for its fall schedule, which runs through November 30th. With over 25 weekly creative and enlightening programs, the museum continues to be a hub of inspiration and exploration for all ages.
The fall program lineup promises an engaging mix of activities, including art workshops, historical lectures, nature tours, and interactive experiences that foster a deeper understanding of the Lowcountry's unique heritage and environment. The new schedule of events and programs are available HERE.
Featured Event: Native Plant Sale
One highlight of the fall season is the perennially popular Native Plant Sale. Taking place at the Coastal Discovery Museum twice per year (Spring and Fall), this event celebrates the beauty and importance of native plants. Discover over 100 varieties of native species for your own garden while supporting local conservation efforts on September 23, from 10am-1pm. $9 for 1-gallon plants and $16 for 3-gallon. The museum is proud to introduce its newest team members who have joined this summer:
Gallery Exhibition
The museum's gallery showcases an inspiring array of exhibitions throughout the year. From thought-provoking art installations to immersive historical displays, these exhibitions provide visitors with an enriching visual experience. We are hosting the opening reception for the next exhibit, “Intricate Oceans: Coral and Contemporary Art,” on September 23 from 5-7pm at 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC, 29926. Hay Barn Construction and Future Santa Elena Exhibit
Exciting developments are underway at the Coastal Discovery Museum, with the construction of a new hay barn that will house the future Santa Elena exhibit. This exhibit promises to offer an insightful exploration into the history and culture of the region. The barn will also house the Museum’s archival items. From art to newspapers, the Hay Barn will be the new home to the many unique items that the Museum owns. As the holiday season approaches, the Coastal Discovery Museum is a go-to destination for unique gifts.
