Coastal Discovery Museum’s Popular Native Plant Sale Returns on March 16. Over 120 Native Plants That Require Little Care with Big Benefits.

JANUARY 24, 2024

Hilton Head Island, SC – The Coastal Discovery Museum is pleased to announce that its popular Spring Native Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, March 16, from 10 am to 1 pm, on the Honey Horn property. The 2024 Spring event features more than 120 native plant species for diverse landscaping needs, from climbing vines to blooming shrubs to butterfly friendly gardens. Native plants are essential to support local wildlife and to attract pollinators.

“This is a great opportunity to enhance your garden with plants that require little care and provide important benefits to the environment, all at an affordable price,” said Wendy Dickes, Manager of Horticulture at Coastal Discovery Museum. “Last fall's plant sale resulted in more than 1,000 native plants being added into our community. If we continue to enhance our gardens with more natives plants, we are sure to make a significant impact on our local ecosystem.”

Master Gardeners will be onsite to answer questions about the different species and offer planting tips for the best results.
