Where Discovery Comes to Life
Originally the "Supervisor's House" on the Historic Honey Horn Property, the Discovery Lab is where students and other guests get to deep-dive into Discovery. Built around 1900, the structure has been renovated and stabilized and reopened in the fall of 2016 for a new era of learning to care for the lowcountry.
During the school year, the Tom Peeples Discovery Lab is used for student field trips and is now home to several live animal displays used for programs. Please visit the School Programs page to learn more about the list of educational opportunities available for students, groups, and educators and contact information about registering or scheduling your group visit.
Many of our family-friendly public programs are also held in the Discovery Lab. Check the event calendar to see what's planned.
