Conservation in the Classroom is an environmental education experience that inspires and challenges students to take action and help educate others about conservation. This program launched during the 2019-20 school year. Curriculum includes four themes for teachers to choose from (shorebirds, sea turtles, dolphins, or horseshoe crabs). Each theme includes an introduction activity led by the teacher in the classroom, an education program presented by the Coastal Discovery Museum at the school, and a hands-on classroom project for students. These projects helped students work together to spread the word about conservation. We hope you enjoy viewing the students’ projects and, most importantly, we hope they inspire you to take action, help protect the environment, and continue to spread the word. Enjoy!
